Twitch VOD & Clip Downloader

Desktop / Browser

1. 1On Twitch.tv, go to the streamer's channel and click the Videos tab.
2. 2Click on the VOD or highlight you want to download. For clips, navigate to the clip page from the Clips tab or a shared link.
3. 3Copy the URL from your browser address bar — VODs look like twitch.tv/videos/NUMBERS; clips look like twitch.tv/channel/clip/Name.
4. 4Paste the URL above and click Download. Expect a processing wait for long VODs.

Mobile (iPhone & Android)

1. 1Open twitch.tv in your phone browser (Safari or Chrome — not the Twitch app, which doesn't show VOD URLs easily).
2. 2Navigate to the streamer's Videos or Clips tab and tap the content you want.
3. 3Copy the URL shown in your browser's address bar.
4. 4In a new tab, open vidforyou.net and paste the URL into the download field, then tap Download.
5. 5iPhone: the file appears in Safari's download manager (arrow icon at the top). Tap it to open and use Share to save to Files. Android: saved to your Downloads folder.

VODs vs Clips — Key Differences

• →VOD URLs always contain '/videos/' — if the URL only shows the channel name (twitch.tv/username), you're on the live channel page, not a VOD. Click the Videos tab first.
• →Twitch clips have two URL formats: the newer twitch.tv/channel/clip/Name and the older clips.twitch.tv/Name. Both work with VidForYou.
• →Long VODs (3+ hours) can take 5–10 minutes to process because every HLS segment must be downloaded and muxed into a single MP4 on our server. This is normal — keep the tab open.
