Desktop / Browser

1. 1Go to instagram.com and open the video post, Reel, or Story you want to save.
2. 2Click the three-dot menu (⋯) on the post and choose Copy link, or use the Share icon and then Copy link.
3. 3Paste the URL into the download box at the top of this page and click Download.
4. 4The MP4 file will save to your browser's default Downloads folder.

Mobile (iPhone & Android)

1. 1Open the Instagram app and navigate to the video or Reel you want to download.
2. 2Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) at the top of the post, then tap Copy link.
3. 3Switch to Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android) and open vidforyou.net.
4. 4Paste the link into the download field and tap Download.
5. 5On iPhone: tap the download icon in Safari's toolbar once it appears, then tap the file and use the Share button to Save Video to your Camera Roll. On Android: find the file in your Downloads folder.

Tips & Gotchas

• →Instagram links copied from the app's share menu are more reliable than URLs from the browser address bar, which can include session parameters that break outside a login.
• →If a Reel fails to download, try opening it in a private/incognito browser tab first and copying that URL — some Reels have region-specific access rules.
• →IGTV videos that were migrated to regular posts after Instagram retired the IGTV app are downloadable as standard video posts using their post URL.
