Desktop / Browser

1. 1Click on the Facebook video so it opens on its own dedicated page (the URL should contain '/videos/' or '/reel/').
2. 2Copy the full URL from your browser's address bar. Short fb.watch links also work.
3. 3Paste the URL into the download box at the top of this page and click Download.
4. 4The video file downloads to your computer's Downloads folder in MP4 format.

Mobile (iPhone & Android)

1. 1Open the Facebook app and tap on the video to open it in full screen.
2. 2Tap the Share button (arrow icon), then tap Copy link.
3. 3Switch to your mobile browser — Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android — and visit vidforyou.net.
4. 4Paste the copied link and tap Download.
5. 5iPhone: the file goes to Safari's Downloads. Tap the arrow icon in the toolbar to access it, then share to your Camera Roll. Android: the MP4 saves to your Downloads folder.

Getting the Right URL

• →Videos embedded in Facebook feed posts often redirect to the post, not the video page. Right-click the video while it's playing and choose 'Show video URL' to get the direct video link.
• →Facebook Page videos typically have cleaner URLs than personal profile videos — if you're having trouble, try opening the video from the Page directly rather than from your news feed.
• →Short fb.watch links are fully supported and can save you the step of navigating to the full video page.
